Ask about an opening
Tell us a little about your child and the care you need. Mrs. McLennon will reply by email or phone to answer questions and set up a tour.
How enrollment works
Bright Starts is a licensed family child care home, so we care for a small group of children and openings are limited. Your tour is the best time to ask about tuition, current openings and paying with the Maryland Child Care Scholarship, Child Care Aware of America or military MCCYN fee assistance. Here is how it works.
1. Call or send an inquiry
We talk about your child’s age, needs and schedule, and answer questions about hours and openings.
2. Tour with your child
Visit our home, meet Mrs. McLennon and review the Parent Handbook and references.
3. Apply
Submit the pre-enrollment application. An enrollment fee is due if your child is accepted.
4. Acceptance
We email your acceptance letter, the Parent Handbook and the remaining forms.
5. Complete enrollment
Return the forms with the first week’s payment and any fees. Payments are made electronically through Brightwheel.
6. First day
Keep goodbyes short and sweet, then check in anytime through the Brightwheel app.

Weekdays 6:30 am to 5:30 pm
Evenings 6:00 pm to 11:59 pm
